Will Brexit affect the UK's double tax treaties?
With Brexit looming, how much of an impact with it have on the UK's double tax treaties?
While there are many aspects of Brexit that will affect British expats living abroad and also EU nationals living in the UK, double tax treaties are unlikely to be directly impacted once the UK leaves the EU in March 2019.
Each double tax treaty is signed between two countries and in the case of the UK directly with other nations, including those in the European Union.
Once the UK has left the EU, it is possible that countries may revisit their double tax treaty with the UK as part of future trade deals, however this is still looking relatively unlikely pre-Brexit.
