ExpertsforExpats.com, which is operated by Experts for Expats Ltd, (we/us) is the controller and responsible for your personal data (referred to throughout as ‘Experts for Expats’, ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in this privacy policy).

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give us when you use this website or where you provide us with your personal data by any other means.

Experts for Expats is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

Experts for Expats may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 24^th March 2021.

1.2   What we collect

We may collect the following information:

• Identity Data including your first and last name and your nationality;
• Contact Data including your telephone number, email address country of residence;
• Financial Data excluding any bank account or payment details;
• Transaction Data including details of the services that you used with our partners;
• Profile Data including your interests, preferences and any feedback given;
• Usage Data including information about how you use our website and services;
• Marketing Data including your preferences in receiving marketing or communications from us or our third parties; and

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

1.3   What we do with the information we gather

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to and in accordance with this privacy policy. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

• Where we need to perform a contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.
• Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
• Where we need to comply with a legal obligation.

Where we receive and collect personal data, such as from our forms, we store all records securely in an external CRM system called ZohoCRM. Only employees required to handle your data to provide our services have access to any information held within Zoho.

As part of the service which we provide we are required to introduce you to an appropriate third party organisation to enable them to conduct an initial consultation. As part of this we will provide such Identity, Contact and Profile Data as is necessary to enable the third party to best provide this consultation based on your needs.

We only pass information on to our network of advisers with your permission which is obtained at the point of submission.

We may also process your data in relation to:

• Internal record keeping.
• After three weeks of your initial request, we may send you a follow up email to ask for your feedback, the responses from which we only use to improve our products and services.
• We may periodically send promotional email about our services, events or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided - but only if you have opted in to receive such communications at the point of submission. You can opt out of receiving these at any time.
• To take advantage of our services you will be required to request a free introduction or advice. We and any third parties who host or maintain our service may need to collect information about you and your computer to enable you to do so. The information will be collected when you request a Service.
• We have no responsibility for how the adviser uses the data provided to them; however advisers are also subject to Data Protection regulations and are responsible for protecting and using your data according to those regulations.
• Should you have any questions or queries in regards to how a third party is handling your personal data you should refer to their privacy policy or contact them about this.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place appropriate and suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

You have the right to:

Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a "data subject access request"). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it. We will provide a copy of your personal data, free of charge and within 30 days of requests. Requests can be made in writing, by phone or by email.

Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

We do not transfer your personal data outside of the UK or EEA.

The exclusion to this would be where you are based outside of the UK or EEA or where you request for us to put you in contact with a third party who is based outside of the UK or EEA, in which case we may transfer your data outside of the UK or EEA. As part of the service which we are providing where we are requested to put you in contact with a third party outside of the UK or EEA we will be transferring such data to these third parties on your request and based on your consent for us to do so.

1.9   How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We use Google Analytics to monitor our site traffic. This provides us with anonymous information about how people use our website which enables us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to visitors' needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

We also use first-party cookies from Zoho to report visitor interactions on our website. These cookies allow us to identify our website visitors when they enter their details using the forms on the website, the reason we do this is to better understand your enquiry which enables us to choose the most suitable adviser from our network. We don't use this information in any other way.

Other than for the introductory service requested, we will not sell or lease your personal information to parties outside of our adviser network. We will not use your personal information to send you information about third party activities or products unless you expressly request such a service.

If you believe that any information that we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon possible at advice@expertsforexpats.com. We will correct any information found to be incorrect within five working days.
